The most exciting thing that's happened this year in my research area:
Informing policymakers on how to limit the spread of antimicrobial resistance in the environment.

My latest work:
How bacteria develop resistance and I am working on Campylobacter (the #1 cause of bacterial gastroenteritis in the UK). It actually costs the UK economy 1 billion pounds each year!

My favourite misconception about my area of science:
Washing chicken can make it cleaner…wrong..it can make you ill.
